Delores Irene (Helton) Kelly

July 26, 1973 — April 7, 2016

Delores Irene Kelly (Helton) 42, born July 26, 1973, passed away April 7th 2016 at her home in Morristown. She was a wonderful daughter to Pearl Wendell and Ruth Ann Helton; loving wife to Keith Kelly; and a caring Mom to Kelsey and Kassidy. She is also survived by her brother, Wendell (Lynann) Helton; her sister-in-law, Kitty Brown; nephews and nieces, Logan Helton, Elijah, Coston, and Kaylee Brown; and her best friend, Dalene Charron. She loved and cared for these people very much and would do anything for them. Dee was born in Missouri but spent most of her life here in Indiana. She suffered from Lupus and numerous other medical issues. She was a very strong and stubborn woman. She made it her goal every day to look out for her family and do every single thing in her power to support them and show them her love. Dee enjoyed things such as the color purple, lions, lasagna, chocolate ice cream, sunflowers, hummingbirds, the Colts, minions, the season fall, Starbucks, and taking care of her friends and family. She was extremely proud of her Native American heritage. She was a very spiritual woman, always comforting her family with her faith and beliefs. Dee was the best friend anyone could ever ask for dropping whatever was in front of her to take care of her friends. She was a loving and supportive wife and mother, always greeting her family with a smile. She was a protective mother who would do anything for her babies. She often bragged about their achievements to everyone and anyone who would listen. She also loved to cook. She made the best cookies, chili, beef stew, and creamed pees, always keeping her family happy and full. She loved Keith Kelly with all her heart. Being with him since she was only 17, (almost 25 years) through all the ups and downs, they still had each other. She considered her father her hero, her mother her best friend, and her brother would always be her little bub. She loved her nephew Logan and would constantly talk about him and what he was up to. She hung pictures of her friends and family by her chair, so when she felt down she could look at them and smile. On her good days, you could catch Delores singing and dancing around the house with her family. She loved Kid Rock, and listening to her old records from when she was a teenager. Dee would like everyone to remember that “You don’t own the world anything. You own everything to yourself.” And she should be remembered as the strong, loving woman she was and always will be in our hearts. She loved with all her heart. Mathew 11:28 “Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” If you would like to make donations in Dee’s memory please make them to the her family at P.O. Box 5, Morristown, IN 46161. There will be a memorial service for Delores at 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 11th at the Morristown Christian Church in Morristown for her close friends and family.
