Dr. Donald G. Dayhoff, 68, of Shelbyville, died Monday, March 13, 2006, in Florida.
Born July 4, 1937, in Linton, he was the son of the late Harold and Thelma (English) Dayhoff. He married Nancy Hengstler on Aug. 1, 1965, and she survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Doug (wife, Dee Dee) Dayhoff of Bloomington and David (wife, Aimee) Dayhoff of Minneapolis, Minn.; one sister, Nina (husband, Robert) Emmons of Decatur, Ill.; one brother, Richard ?Rick? Dayhoff of Lyons; and three grandchildren, Dawson Dayhoff, Dillon Dayhoff and Wyatt Dayhoff.
Dr. Dayhoff had been a Shelbyville resident since 1967.
He was a dentist with a practice in Shelbyville from 1967 until retiring in 2001.
Dr. Dayhoff was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He graduated in 1959 from Indiana University, with a bachelor?s degree, and in 1967 from Indiana University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Dayhoff was a past president of the Rotary Club.
He was a woodworker and patented inventor and enjoyed golf.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Private funeral services will be on Saturday.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
