Donald G. Graham, 75, of Shelbyville passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at his residence.
Born April 26, 1935, in Shelbyville, he was the son of John L. and Ina (Coleman) Graham. He married Betty L. Martin on December 16, 1960, and she survives.
Other survivors include his daughters, Beckie (significant other, David Moore) Pike and Cheryl (husband, Ralph) Hill, both of Shelbyville, Macle (husband, Jess) Kelly and Kierste Cunningham, both of Delphi; sons, Jimmie Graham of Shelbyville, and Rustal Donaldson of Lebanon; brother, Wray E. Graham of Anderson; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and his dog, Zeke.
He was preceded in death in his parents; daughter, Jeannette Graham Huesman; sister, Mary Diskey; and brothers, Ralph Graham, Walter Graham and Harold Graham.
Mr. Graham was a lifelong resident of Shelbyville graduating from Shelbyville High School in 1953.
He was a self-employed automotive mechanic, retiring in 1992, after over 30 years in business.
Mr. Graham was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force, serving from 1952 to 1960.
He served two terms as commander of American Legion Post No. 70, three terms as governor of Moose Lodge No. 2118, and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 76 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2695.
Mr. Graham was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 1 pm Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Carl Ewick and Harvey Weaver officiating.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
