Donna Jean Badell-Wolter, 82, of Shelbyville, died Monday, July 31, 2006, at Major Hospital.
Born Aug. 26, 1923, in Monon, she was the daughter of John Ben and Frances (McPhearson) Curtis. She married Phillip J. Badell on April 27, 1943, and he preceded her in death on March 14, 1980. She married Dr. Robert E. Wolter on March 7, 2002, and he survives.
Other survivors include one son, Patrick C. (wife, Anne) Badell of Indianapolis, one daughter, Colleen C. Badell of San Francisco, California; daughter-in-law, Sandy Badell of Sun Valley, Idaho; and four grandchildren, Patrick C. Badell, Drew P. Badell, Allison Badell and Lauren Badell.
She also was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Michel C. Badell, and two brothers.
Mrs. Badell-Wolter had been a Shelbyville resident since 1992. She previously had lived in Rushville.
She had worked at Badell and Wilson Law Office in Rushville until 1985.
Mrs. Badell-Wolter had attended Indiana University and Purdue University.
She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority, Tri Kappa sorority, Order of Eastern Star, several philanthropic organizations, and was a life member of Rushville Elks Club.
No visitation or services will be held following cremation.
Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Chapels, 819 S. Harrison St., is handling the arrangements.
