Donna Marie Brown

Donna Marie Brown, 74, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015 at her residence. She was born February 19, 1941, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Harold Alexander and Lillian (Snapp) Dawson. On July 5, 1959, she married her husband of 55 years, Ronald Lee Brown, and he preceded her in death on April 16, 2015. Donna is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Moore and husband, Tim, of Shelbyville; son, Jeff Brown and wife, Kim, of Shelbyville; brothers, Gary Dawson and wife, Debbie, of Shreveport, Louisiana, Joe Dawson and wife, Christine, of Carmel, and John Dawson and wife, Randi, of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Chris Moore, Amy Suiter and husband, Nick, Jake Brown and Josh Brown; great-granddaughter, Katie Suiter; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Phyllis “Jeannie” Huber; and a granddaughter, Tiffany Brown. Donna graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1959. She formerly worked at Bishopp Appliances for 30 years. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild, and the time she spent with them. A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date. Services entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
