Doris C. Badgley, 73, of Greenwood died Saturday, October 27,2007, at Community Hospital South, Indianapolis.
Born December 29, 1933, in Stanley, Wis., she was the daughter of Ralph I. and Phoebe (Foster) Scott. She married Robert O. Badgley in April of 1978, and he preceded her in death in May of 1996.
Survivors include her daughters, Vickie (husband, Ron) Bryant of Greenfield and Debra Harper of Indianapolis; son, Rick Harper of Corinth, Texas; brother Max (wife, Dora) Scott of Morristown; sisters-in-law, Donna Scott and Clara Eck, both of Shelbyville, Wilma Scott of Zionsville and Nedra Carder; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Donald Scott, Larry Scott, Dale Scott and John Scott.
Mrs. Badgley had lived in Greenwood since 1978.
She had been employed at Allison Rolls Royce in Indianapolis from 1983 until retiring in 1999. Prior to that she was employed at Marsh and McClennan Insurance from 1961 to 1982.
Mrs. Badgley graduated from Morristown High School in 1951.
She was a member of Shelby and Hancock county genealogy societies.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in New Palestine Cemetery in New Palestine.
