Dorothy Beasley

Dorothy Beasley, 97, of Shelbyville died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at Major Hospital. Born July 31, 1909, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Thomas Sherman and Bertha Mae (Anderson) Beasley. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and four sisters. Ms. Beasley was a lifelong Shelbyville resident. She had been employed with the Internal Revenue Service at the Federal Building in Indianapolis, retiring after 30 years. Ms. Beasley graduated from Shelbyville High School. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Forest Hill Cemetery. Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Chapels, 819 S. Harrison St., is handling the arrangements.
