Dwight Hopkins

Dwight Hopkins, 78, of Carthage, IN passed away March 2, 2008 at Heritage House in Shelbyville, IN. Born May 31, 1929 in Rush County, Indiana to Albert and Leona (Shafer) Hopkins. He married Evelyn Reed on November 30, 1948, and she preceded him in death o July 4, 2003. Survivors include his daughter, Marsha (husband, Steve) Perkinson of Indianapolis; grandson, Bryan (wife, Linda) McMahan of Carthage; sister, Harriet (husband, Dale) Green of Middletown; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brother and two sisters. Mr. Hopkins was a semi-truck driver for Knightstown Elevator, prior to that he was a body repairman at Goodwin's Inc. in Knightstown. He attended Spiceland High School. Private funeral services will be conducted. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hancock Co. Humane Society. Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN was entrusted with the services. Interment will be in Glen Cove Cemetery.
