E. Duane “Biggin” Dunagan, 62, of Lamar, formerly of St. Paul, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Deaconess Hospital Gateway Campus in Newburgh.
He was born January 27, 1951, in Shelbyville, the son of Emery Flynn and Marilyn June (McNeely) Dunagan.
Survivors include his sons, Eric (wife, Jessica) Dunagan of Indianapolis and Frank McKee of Greenwood; daughters, Anna (husband, Kevin) Muse of Greensburg, Renee’ Pickett of Indianapolis and Meshelle (husband, Art) Abshire of Columbia, South Carolina; sisters, LaDonna (husband, Larry) Stewart of Shelbyville and Deborah (husband, Leon) House of Needham; brother, Edward J. Dunagan of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Taylor Smith, Evan and Griffin Dunagan, Ashton, Micah, Luke and Abrianna Muse; great-grandson, Isaac Smith; companion, Shulah Greatwater of Lamar; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Bob Dunagan and Roger Dunagan.
“Biggin” graduated from Waldron High School in 1969.
He was formerly employed as a tool and die maker at KT Corp/Triumph for over 40 years and was a Reserve Conservation Officer.
“Biggin” was a member of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church, NRA, Wild Turkey Federation and Southern Indiana Horse Rescue.
He was an avid deer and turkey hunter.
“Biggin” leaves behind his horse, Ibrey.
Per his request, he was an organ donor.
A Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, 7414 E. Michigan Road, Waldron, Indiana, with Pastor George Mitchell officiating. Friends may gather one half hour prior to the service.
Services entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
