Earl C. Rapp, Jr., 87, of Rushville, formerly of Shelbyville passed away Friday, September 28, 2012 at Rush Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
Born February 4, 1925, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Earl C. Sr. and Ruby (Price) Rapp. He married Mary Jean Morgan in November of 1958, and she preceded him in death on February 2, 1999.
Survivors include his son, Danny (wife, Wilma) Rapp of Rushville; daughter, Tina Ledford of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Jamie (husband, Nathan) Schoettmer, Troy (wife, Ashley) Rapp, Michelle (husband, Adam) Woodall, Crystal Ledford and Makayla Rapp; and great-grandchildren, Carson Woodall, Austin Leinberger, Blake Schoettmer, Alexis Rapp, Lilli Rapp and Allie Rapp.
He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Rapp retired from Schlage Door Lock Company in 1992, after 25 years of service.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II.
Mr. Rapp enjoyed using CB radios.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2012 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, with military graveside rites conducted by the local military committee.
