Earnie "Gill" Haddix

Earnie “Gill” Haddix, 69, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015 in Rising Sun. He was born February 3, 1946, in Breathitt County, Kentucky, the son of Walter and Belle (Little) Haddix. He married Mary A. Bottorff on September 2, 1986, and she survives. Other survivors include his children, Kellie Seymore of Shelbyville, Ellisha Haddix and partner, Mya Daily of Laguna Beach, California and Zach Bottorff of Indianapolis; brothers, Harold Haddix and wife, Barbara, of Florida, and Raymond Haddix of Flat Rock; sister, Liz Kehrt and husband, Phil, of London; four grandchildren; and his mother-in-law, Wanda Bottorff. He was preceded in death by his parents. Gill graduated from Fairland High School in 1965. He attended West Street United Methodist Church. Gill formerly worked for Chrysler. He loved old cars, Gill was a Hot Rod fanatic and enjoyed the Street Rod Nationals. He was an excellent artist and loved to draw. Gill was a collector of anything and everything. He was a big dreamer and always had a story to tell. A gathering of friends will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 101 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Services entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home in his memory.
