Edmond G. Mann, 83, of Royce City, Texas, a former Shelbyville resident, passed away Friday, January 21, 2011 at Royce City Health and Rehab.
Born June 12, 1927 in Shelbyville, Indiana, he was the son of Ora Edmund Mann and Mable Charity (Henry) Mann.
Survivors include daughters, Meredith Denise (husband, John) Duke and Gayle Erlene (husband, Vince) Hayley, both of Austin, Texas; brothers, Dwain R. (wife, Alice) Mann of Murphy, Texas; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Meredith Mann and Jackie Ray Mann; and sister, Carmen Jones.
Mr. Mann attended Shelbyville High School and had worked at the Veterans Administration Data Processing Center in Austin, Texas, retiring in 1983.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and Shelbyville Eagles Lodge.
Visitation will be from 10 am to 12 noon, Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 12 noon Thursday at the funeral home with Charlie Coons officiating.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
