Dr. Edmund Eugene Laskowski, 82, of Greensburg, died Saturday, May 14, 2016.
He was born July 28, 1933, in Hammond, the son of Stanley J. and Gertrude M. (Boberek) Laskowski.
He graduated from Hammond High School and earned his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees from Indiana University. He practiced dentistry in Greensburg, for 38 years.
On July 25, 1954, he married his wife of 61 years, Lois Latshaw, and she survives.
He was an elder in the First Presbyterian Church in Greensburg, and a member of the American Dental Association, the Indiana Dental Association, the Academy of Operative Dentistry, and the International College of Dentists. He had served as president and trustee of the Southeastern Dental Society. He was a life member of the Indiana University Alumni Association.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving for two years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Paul Laskowski.
Edmund is also survived by his daughter, Rebecca Jane Laskowski-Hart and husband, Tony, of Indianapolis; a granddaughter, Natalie Claire Huenneke; three step-grandchildren; and a step-great-grandson.
There will be no public viewing. A private family service will be held.
Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
