Edna M. Itce, 80, of Shelbyville passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at Major Hospital. Born July 3, 1928, in Johnson County, she was the daughter of Raymond and L. Lucille (Davis) Runshe Sr. She married Harry Emerson Itce, Sr. on May 9, 1947. and he preceded her in death on January 14, 1988. Survivors include her children, Harry Itce, Jr. of Indianapolis, Juanita (husband, Ronnie) Kuhn of Shelbyville and Matthew (wife, Debbie) Itce of Jacksonville, Fla.; brothers, William Runshe of Shelbyville and Raymond Runshe Jr. of Eagle Lake, Fla.; sisters, Evelyn M. Newbold of Shelbyville and Doris Jean Bedell of Columbus; grandchildren, Andrea, Erin, Ashley, Allison, Sam, Ben and Brady; great-grandchildren, Adrienne, Kara, Sophia, Lija, Hailey, Jacob, Grant and Wyatt; stepgrandchildren, Lisa and Jason; and great-stepgrandchildren, Brittany, Mackenzie and Cody. She also was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Margaret Million. Mrs. Itce had been employed at the Indiana State Employment Office from 1995 to 1999, and previously at H&R Block in Shelbyville, as a teacher's assistant at Coulston Elementary School in the early 1970s and a dispatcher for the Shelbyville Police Department in the late 1960s. She graduated from Boggstown High School in 1947 and attended Ivy Tech Secretarial Course for two years. Mrs. Itce was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she was a former Sunday school teacher and a past member of Session of First Presbyterian. She loved her family, fishing, gardening, sewing and needlepoint. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church, 124 W. Broadway St. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with Pastor Mark Morningstar officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 124 W. Broadway St., Shelbyville, Indiana 46176; or Hospice of Shelby County, 425 E. Washington St., Shelbyville, Indiana 46176.
