Edward D. Sneed

Edward D. Sneed, 79, of Brooksville, Florida formerly of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at his residence. Born February 10, 1929 to Elgar Sneed and Evelyn (Lay) Sneed in Cincinnati, Ohio. He married Kathleen McMurray on June 30, 1950, and she survives. Other survivors include sons; Wayne (wife, Jennifer) Sneed of Trafalger, Gary (wife, Debbie) Sneed, and Mark (wife, Meme) Sneed both of Indianapolis,daughters; Joyce (husband, Kevin) McKinney of Evansville, Sharon (husband, John) Borden, Fairfax, Virginia, Denise Tinsley of Shelbyville, and Audrey (husband, Mike) Wolf of Greenfield, sisters; Edna Atwood, Elizabeth Salyers, Fayrine McAninch, Brenda Carmen, and Judy Allen, brothers; Eugene Sneed, Alvey Sneed, Raymond Sneed, Dean Sneed, Russell Sneed, Gerald Sneed, Ollie Tackett, Kenny Sneed, and David Sneed, step-mother; Mary Sneed of Waynesburg, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters; Opal Sneed, Edith Sneed and Elvera Salyers, brother; Junior Sneed. Mr. Sneed was the former owner of Ed Sneed Heating and Air Conditioning retiring 12 years ago, after 30 years of service. Prior to that time he worked at Arvin Corporation in Franklin for 20 years. He was a member of the Brooksville Wesleyan Church in Brooksville, and formerly a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2008 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at the First Church of the Nazarene, 2315 S. Riley Highway, Shelbyville, IN. Interment will be in Miller Cemetery in Shelby County.
