Edward Ray Klapper, 80 of Shelbyville passed away Friday, August 24, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital and Health Center in Indianapolis.
Born May 30, 1927, in Louisville, KY, he was the son of Edward Phil and Anna Velma (Hamon) Klapper Franklin. He married Hilda Joan Imel on June 6, 1960, and she survives.
Other survivors include his daughter, Kathy Ann Klapper of Shelbyville; sons, David Ray Klapper and Steven Mark Klapper both of Shelbyville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and half brothers, Sherman Morgan Franklin and William James Franklin.
Mr. Klapper had been a machinist for Switzer in Indianapolis and a projectionist for Skyline Cinemas, retiring in 1984.
He wa a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran.
Mr. Klapper attended Lewis Creek Wesleyan Church in Lewis Creek.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Gates and Rev. Harvey Weaver officiating.
Interment will be in Fairland Cemetery in Fairland.
