Edwina W. Eberhart, 94, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, July 17, 2017 at Waldron Health and Rehab in Waldron.
She was born February 12, 1923, in Shelby County, the daughter of Elza and Annabell (Murnan) Babb. On February 12, 1943, she married Albert “Branson” Eberhart, and he preceded her in death on June 7, 1993.
Edwina is survived by her loving nieces, nephew, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James Babb and Raymond Babb; sisters, Martha Liebrandt, Frances Thurston and Gladys Jones.
Edwina was a member of West Street United Methodist Church, where she participated in the Susan Wesley Circle and enjoyed the women’s retreats.
She formerly worked at GC Murphy’s and KCL.
Edwina enjoyed knitting, adult coloring, going to the beauty shop and visiting with friends.
She loved attending family outings.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2017 at West St. United Methodist Church, 629 S. West St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church, with Rev. Reid Walker officiating.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 24, 2017 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 South Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Memorial contributions may be made to West St. United Methodist Church.
