Elizabeth Ann Theobald, 76, of Shelbyville passed away Sunday, June 8, 2008, at her home.
Born June 29, 1931, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Fred and Kathleen (Towns) Ivie. She married Norman Theobald on May 25, 1949, and he survives.
Other survivors include her mother of Shelbyville; sons, Michael Gene (wife, Deborah Sue) Theobald and Tony Allen Theobald, both of Shelbyville, and Gary lee (wife, Judy) Theobald of Manilla; daughter, Teresa Kay (husband, Tony) Putty of Shelbyville; brother Dan (wife, Barbara)Ivie of Shelbyville; sister, Linda (husband, Terry) Amos of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Shelley Logan, Michael Theobald Jr., Bryon Theobald, Dana Essex, Jason Theobald, Austin Theobald, and Toni Lynn Vaught, all of Shelbyville; and Amber Franklin and Sarah Holtz, both of Indianapolis; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father and brother, Harold "Bud" Ivie.
Mrs. Theobald was a lifelong Shelby County resident.
She had been employed in the Shelby County Auditor's office from 1965 to 1978 and was the Union Township Trustee since 1986 with two years remaining in this term.
Mrs. Theobald graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1949.
She was a member of Little Blue River Baptist Church and Eastern Star Lodge No. 316 in Morristown.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Robert Langdon, Corlis Dees II and Mark Dodd officiating.
Interment will be in Bennett Cemetery in Shelby County.
