Elizabeth Carroll, 76, of Shelbyville died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, at Waldron Health Care Home in Waldron.
Born Sept. 1, 1930, in Harrodsburg, Ky., she was the daughter of Ernest D. and Mary E. (Vandiver) Marksbury.
Survivors include five daughters, Shirley (husband, Ronnie) Axsom of Columbus, Linda (husband, Joseph) Thurston, Mary (husband, Bruce) Martin and Diane (husband, Dennis) Reed, all of Shelbyville and Teresa (husband, Randy) Greiber of Elgin, S.C.; five sons, Mike Carroll, Tim (wife, Theresa) Carroll, David (wife, Cheryl) Carroll, all of Shelbyville, Bob (wife, Wilma) Carroll of Hope, Tony Carroll of Charleston, S.C.; 28 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three grandsons, Ronnie Axsom, Craig Carroll and Dustin Carroll; one daughter-in-law, Connie Carroll; four brothers; and four sisters.
Mrs. Carroll lived all of her adult life in Shelbyville.
She had been employed at Freudenberg N.O.K. for 24-1/2 years, retiring in 1994.
Mrs. Carroll had attended the Blue Ridge Christian Union Church.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Broadway Chapel, 232 W. Broadway St.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dennis Hirschauer officiating.
Burial will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery in Blue Ridge.
