Elizabeth L. Wilson, 93 of Shelbyville passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Morristown Manor in Morristown. Born November 21, 1914, in Paoli, she was the daughter of Nathan Fred and M. Pearl (Lane) Briner. She married Harold R. wilson, and he preceded her in death on November 11, 1989. Survivors include her daughters, Becky (husband, Dick) Bishopp of Shelbyville and Betty (husband, Charles) Herring-Laughner of Indianapolis; sons, Phil (wife, Barbara) wilson of Arlington and Max (wife, Katherine) Wilson of Mason, Texas; sister, Rachel Keller of Arizona City, Arizona; grandchildren, Robert Herring, Victoria Cross, Angela Keown, Rebecca Shoff, Craig Wilson, John Wilson, Steve Wilson, Jeff Wilson, Amy Bishopp, Anne Bishopp, Susie Wilson, George Wilson, Jordan, Shari Lynn and Joel; great-grandchildren, Seth, Zack, James, Vickie, Julie, Julianne, Jack, Nick, Gavin, Naomi, Lydia, Michael, Andrew, Patrick, Brayden, Cassidy, Nicholas and Christopher; great-great grandchildren, Gabriel, Grace and Ava; and several nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by her parents; sons, David I. Wilson and Don F. Wilson; sisters, Grace Kellams and Jewell McCarty; and brothers, John Briner and Donald Briner. Mrs. Wilson had been employed at Kiefer Furniture for five years, retiring in 2001. Previously she was employed at Kittle Furniture at their Castleton, Greenwood and downtown Indianapolis locations. Prior to that, she worked at Sears Furniture, Hook's Drug Store in the Max Factor department and Rost Jewelers in the china department. She was a member of First Christian Church in Shelbyville and ordre of Eastern Star Millersville Lodge in Indianapolis. A gathering of friends will be from 12:30 to 1 pm Sunday at First Christian Church, 118 W. Washington St. Memorial services will be at 1 pm Sunday at the church. Services were entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, 118 W. Washington St., Shelbyville, IN 46176; Shelby Senior Service, 1504 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN 46176; or the donor's choice of charities.
