Elsie Mae LeBrun, 98, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016 at her residence.
She was born October 7, 1918, in Salem, the daughter of Nevil and Edna (Rickard) Mahuron. She married Flamel LeBrun, and he preceded her in death.
Elsie is survived by her sons, Jerry LeBrun and wife, Nancy, of Linton, Gene LeBrun of Pendleton, Edward LeBrun of Elizabethtown and Michael LeBrun and wife, Karen, of Shelbyville; daughters, Linda Shadley and husband, David, and Brenda Randoph, both of Shelbyville; brother, Ray Mahuron of Arizona; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Merrel and Morrison Mahuron; and a grandchild.
Elsie was an active member of First Church of God, where she was formerly a Sunday school teacher.
She retired from KCL in 1983, with 30 years of service. After retirement, she volunteered at Heritage Manor where she would help lead bible study.
She loved her family, church and sewing.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2016 at First Church of God, 1815 S. Miller St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with Pastor Bryan Justice officiating.
Interment will be at Winchester Cemetery in Shelby County.
