Emma Frances Foster, 87, of Morristown passed away Friday, October 5, 2012 at Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield.
Born August 18, 1925, in Hancock County, she was the daughter of Nolan A. and Gertrude (Elsbury) Romack. She married John Henry Foster on September 27, 1945, and he preceded her in death on May 3, 1996.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Kanolan Foster of Morristown; sons, Jerry Wayne (wife, Fran) Foster of Kemp,Texas and Gary Lynn (wife, Linda) Foster of Northport, Florida; brother, Robert Max Romack of Morristown; grandchildren, Tina (husband, David) Smith, Tony Foster and Steve (wife, Teresa) Foster; great-grandchildren, David, Sam, Shawn, Taylor, J.W., and Bentley; and two nieces.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, William Romack.
Mrs. Foster resided in the Morristown area most of her life, living in Florida from November of 1974 until 1993.
She graduated from Westland High School in 1943.
Mrs. Foster had formerly worked at Eli Lilly and retired from Western Electric. While leaving in Florida she worked as a baker and preparation cook, making 57 pies in one day from scratch at Rose City. Upon returning to Indiana she worked at Village Pantry in Morristown from 1997 to 2001 frying donuts.
She was a past member of Morristown American Legion Auxiliary.
No services will be observed.
