Enid "Molly" Boundy Sparks, 90, of Deane, Kentucky passed away Sunday, November 13, 2011, at Ashford Place Villas in Shelbyville, Indiana.
Born September 26, 1921, in Butte, Montana, she was the daughter of William and Louise (Oatfield) Boundy. She married Harold Sparks on September 30, 1944, and he preceded her in death on March 22, 2008.
Survivors include her sons, Daniel (wife, Linda) Sparks of Shelbyville and Rick (wife, Judy) Sparks of Smithfield, Utah; grandchildren, Cindy Sparks, Kris (wife, Laura) Sparks, Anna Macaluso, Lucretia (husband, Mark) Worster and Brian (wife, Jennifer) Sparks; and great-grandchildren, Christian DeRolf and Elizabeth DeRolf.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Thelma Engstedt; and brothers, Bill Boundy and Fred Boundy.
Enid worked as a department store employee in Butte, Montana, when she met Harold, who was sent to Butte as a soldier in mine copper for the war effort during World War II.
After the war, Enid came to Kentucky, married Harold and made Kentucky her lifetime home.
Enid worked as a bank employee for the Neon Bank for many years, substitute taught in the Letcher County Schools, and prepared taxes for many in the Deane, Kentucky area.
She was still very active keeping track of her many friends on the Internet on a daily basis.
Enid was a member of the Deane Baptist Church at Deane, Kentucky.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. with a services 8 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2011, with Rob Springer officiating, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2011 at Carty Funeral Home, 1081 Highway 317, in Neon, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be at 11 am, Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the Deane Baptist Church, with Rev. Kenneth Gooch officiating.
Burial will be in the John Bentley Family Cemetery in Deane.
