Esther Delores Ramer, 91, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at her residence.
She was born September 17, 1922, in Newport, Kentucky, the daughter of Henry R. and Bessie E. (Howery) Fritz. On September 8, 1951, she married her husband of 52 years, David T. Ramer, and he preceded her in death on October 17, 2003.
Esther is survived by her sons, Bob Kemple and companion, Donna Hazelbaker, of Shelbyville and Richard Kemple and wife, Christy, of Zephyr Hills, Florida; daughter, Debbie Campbell and husband, Don, of Peru; grandchildren, Alisa Fisher, Brian Kemple, Katrina Vierling, Bobbi McLane, Cory Campbell and Chad Campbell; great-grandchildren, Shaunda, Jakin, Dusti, Austin, Braden, Brennan, Tanner, Talon, Rachel, Lakyn, Jessica and Cameron; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Chester Fritz, Gale Fritz, Herbert “Gene” Fritz and Clarence Edwin Fritz; and a great-granddaughter, Amber Suits.
Esther graduated from Manilla High School in 1940.
She was a member of the Evangelical United Church of Christ and American Legion Auxiliary.
Esther retired from TRW Cinch.
She enjoyed camping, playing cards, crossword puzzles and western movies.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2014 at the funeral home, with Rev. Linda Frische-Mouri officiating.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
