Eula "Vernell" Mann, 89, of Nineveh, formerly of Morristown passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009 at Hancock Regional Hospital.
Born July 22, 1920 in Victoria, Texas she was the daughter of Guernsa and Eliza Ocie (Buchanan) Cockrum. She married Delbert Wilson Mann on September 24, 1942, and he preceded her in death on July 20, 1998.
Survivors include her sons, Ray (wife, Gloria) Mann of Nineveh, Tom (wife, Nancy) Mann of Greenfield and Mark Mann of Edinburgh; sister, Madge Bowes of Spiritwood, Saskatchewan; brother, Euvon Cockrum of Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, and step-sister, Veda Stephens.
Mrs. Mann was a member of the Morristown Christian Church.
She graduated from Victoria High School in Victoria, Texas in 1941 and attended one year at Texas Tech.
Mrs. Mann loved to paint.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St., Morristown.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Fred Hickman officiating.
Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery.
