Eva M. Snapp McCain, 91, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Ashford Place Health Campus in Shelbyville.
She was born October 18, 1926, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Garnet and Flossie (Vance) Light. On April 18, 1944, she married Richard W. Snapp, and he preceded her in death on January 21, 1994. Eva married Eugene E. McCain on May 20, 2000, and he survives.
In addition to Eugene, Eva is survived by her son, Larry Snapp and wife, Judy, of Westfield; step-children, Mitchell McCain of Fairland, and Tracy McCain of Clearwater, Florida; grandchildren, Troy Snapp and wife, Suzanne, of Fishers, Tiffany Kirby and husband, Michael, of New Castle, and Kristy Sebring and husband, John, of Noblesville; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild and one on the way.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Eva attended Shelbyville High School.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and currently attended First Christian Church.
Eva and her late husband, Richard, owned and operated the Sears store in Shelbyville, during the 1980’s, where she ran the catalog department.
She enjoyed golfing, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2018 at the funeral home, with Rev. Bill Horner officiating.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
