Evelyn Lorraine Smalley

Evelyn Lorraine Smalley, 88, of Morristown, formerly of Fairmount passed away Monday, May 18, 2009 at Morristown Manor. Born March 13, 1921 in Grant County, Indiana, she was the daughter of George Vetor and Edna (Wallace) Vetor Nelson. She married Dale W. Smalley on February 18, 1939, and he preceded her in death on May 18, 2009. Survivors include her son, Ron (wife, Marianne) Smalley of Morristown; daughter, Sharon (husband, Allan) Robinson of Bloomington; grandchildren, Christina Smalley(husband, Clinton Hedges), Christopher (wife, Deborah) Smalley, Mark (wife, Eva) Smalley, Shawn Keene, Bryan (wife, Tasha) Keene and Rebecca (husband, Brian) Keene-Stryker; and six great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one son, Donald Smalley. Mrs. Smalley resided in Fairmount most of her life. She helped on the family farm and worked for RCA for 25 years. Mrs. Smalley was a member of Ridgon and Fairmount Methodist Churches. A family memory gathering will be held in Morristown at a later date. A family memorial graveside service will be in Park Cemetery in Fairmount on June 8th, 2009.
