Evelyn "Peg" Waneta Sheppard

Evelyn Waneta "Peg" Sheppard, 80, of Morristown passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Flat Rock River Lodge in Rushville. Born April 3, 1929, in Dark County, Ohio, she was the daughter of Perry Lee and Mary Lucille Russell. She married Charles Robert Sheppard on May 8, 1953, and he preceded her in death on March 17, 1989. Survivors include her sons, James A. (wife, Judy) Andis and Perry Lee (wife, Linda) Sheppard, both of Morristown; daughters, Sally Ann (husband, Robert) White of Hillard, Ohio and Gidana Lynne (husband, Fred) Richmond of Laurel; brother, Dale E. Russell of Louisville, Kentucky; sisters, Ruth Lillian Wilson of Greensboro, Lucille Huffman, Anna Marie Adkins and Barbara Young, all of Union City, Betty Jordan and Catherine Gaylor, both of Anderson; nine grandsons; four granddaughters; one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Timothy Charles Sheppard; daughter, Wanda Diane Polk; and great-grandson, Nicholas Sheppard. Mrs. Sheppard had been employed at Big Blue Stores in Shelbyville from 1972 to 1980. She graduated from Morristown High School in 1947. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2009 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St., Morristown. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Bennett Cemetery.
