Evertt Lee Ailes

Evertt Lee Ailes, 66, of Fairland, passed away Friday, November 24, 2023, at his home.

He was born October 25, 1957, in Connersville, the son of Francis Evertt and Ethel Catherine (Scanlon) Ailes.  On August 30, 1975, he married his wife of 48 years, Robin Hallgarth, and she survives.

In addition to Robin, Evertt is survived by his daughter, Dawnyel Baldridge and husband, Christopher, of Fountaintown; son, Evertt W. Ailes and wife, Kelly, of Fairland; brothers, Alvin Ailes and wife, Vicky, of Fountaintown, Charles Ailes and wife, Becky, of Shelbyville, Ricky Ailes and wife, Suzie, of Gwynneville, and Ronnie Ailes of Fairland; sister, Kathy Davis and husband, Phil, of Fairland; grandchildren, Dakota Baldridge and wife, Rebekah, Harlie Baldridge, Courtlynn Baldridge, Tori Ailes, Emersynn Ailes and Landon Cole; great-grandchildren, Everly Baldridge and Hadley Baldridge; brother-in-law, Kevin Wayne Hallgarth of Greenfield; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In 1976, Evertt graduated from Triton Central High School.  He continued his education and received a Master’s Electrician License from Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC).

He was a member of Buck Creek Christian Church in Indianapolis, where he was an elder.  Evertt also attended the Fountaintown Chrisitan Church.

Evertt and his son, co-owned and operated E Square Electric, since 2014.

He enjoyed going fishing, hunting, boating, camping and spending time with his family.

Evertt also leaves behind his dog, Beau.

Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm, Monday, November 27, 2023, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.

Funeral services will follow at 1 pm, Monday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Joshua Hahn officiating.

Interment will be at Fairland Cemetery in Fairland.
