F. Leora Smith

F. Leora Smith, 76, of Morristown, died Saturday, April 22, 2006, at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. Born Jan. 25, 1930, in Allen County, she was the daughter of Joseph Owen and Peggy (Trammel) McCombs. She married John E. Smith in June of 1973, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 1999. Survivors include one son, Jerry (wife, Elaine) Wilhelm of Morristown; three daughters, Peggy Trittipo and Lori (husband, Dale) Parsley, both of Morristown, and Yvonne (husband, John) Roberts of North Little Rock, Ark.; four stepchildren, Greg, Tina, Cathy and Steve; six grandchildren, Michael Wilhelm, Amy Stansberry, Bradley Trittipo, Erika Trittipo, Billy Grimsley and Vickie Grimsley; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Smith had been a house keeper, retiring in 1986. She graduated in 1948 from Wolcottville High School in Wolcottville, and in 1949 from Indianapolis Beauty Academy. Mrs. Smith was a member of Fountaintown Christian Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
