Fern Aileen Hargrove

Fern Aileen Hargrove, 85, of Indianapolis, formerly of Shelby County passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Westminster Village North in Indianapolis, IN. Born August 26, 1922 in Shelby County, to Charles Earl and Zella Myrl (Wickliff) Ross. Survivors include sons, Michael G. (Teresia) Hargrove of Seymour and Bill R. (Marcie) Hargrove of Hyattsville, Md; sister, Ruth Brewer of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Scott Hargrove, Steve Hargrove and Phillip Hargrove; great-grandchildren, Stevie Hargrove, Britney Hargrove and Grace Hargrove. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Larry Robert Hargrove; brothers, Ray Ross and Glen Ross. Mrs. Hargrove lived in Indianapolis since 1979, prior to that she lived in Shelby County. She was employed at Target in Indianapolis in the customer service division. She previously was employed at Captain Alexander's Wharf, L. Fish Furniture, Brodie's Dinner Theatre and in Shelbyville at Bradley Hall Furniture. Mrs. Hargrove graduated from Clear Springs High School in 1940. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Campbell officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
