Florence A. “Tootsie” (Bileau) Heffernan,72, Manchaug, Massachusetts passed away Mon. Jan. 21 in Shelbyville, Indiana peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband of 30 years Henry S. Heffernan; five sons Steven M. Lauziere Sr. of Douglas, Garry H. Lauziere of IN, Mark E. Lauziere of IN, Albert H. Lauziere of Webster, and Robert W. Lauziere of Webster; 4 daughters Lori A. Hemmingway of Manchaug; Debra L. Smith of Sutton, Patricia L. Heffernan of Webster, and Julie Jean Ackert of Gardner; 25 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, a brother Harvey D. Bileau of Thompaon CT, and a sister Ann M. Lewandowski of Manchaug, many nieces and nephews. Born in Milford, MA on Feb. 14, 1940 she was the daughter of Donat and Florence (Bilodeau) Bileau and lived in Manchaug many years before moving to Indiana. She was educated in the Milford School system. Tootsie wore many hats. She worked in a daycare facility, as a nurse’s aide, and also as a bartender at Pikoas 4 corners, before her retirement. Her funeral service will be held in Jackman Funeral Home, 7 Mechanic St., Douglas on Fri. Jan. 25 at 7:30 P.M. Calling hours at the funeral home are Fri. Jan. 25 from 5-8 p.m. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery will be at a later date. Local arrangements were entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S.
