Florence E. (Smith) Hall, 94, of Plymouth, Indiana formerly of Shelby County, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012 at her son's residence in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Born March 9, 1918 in Smithland, she was the daughter of Robert M. and Mary E. (Callison) Smith.
Survivors include her daughter, Janet Ashley of San Pedro, California; sons, Terry N.Hall of Plymouth, Steven S. (wife, Jill) Hall of Knoxville and Les Hall of Indianapolis; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews including Ann Havens, Phyllis Howery, Donald Howery, Lynn Taska, Gary Delap, Kay Nelson, Mark Young and Mary Neitzke.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Edith Howery, Ellen Young and Dorothy Delap.
Mrs. Hall was formerly a Registered Nurse in the Coronary Care Unit at Plymouth Hospital in Plymouth for almost 18 years, where she worked nights.
She graduated from Flat Rock High School and received her Registered Nursing pin from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing.
Mrs. Hall was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Plymouth.
She loved to read, enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing euchre.
Mrs. Hall was an avid Cubs fan and had a great sense of humor.
Visitation will be from 2:30 to 4 p.m.on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with her grandson, Spencer Hall officiating.
Interment will be in Miller Cemetery.
