Florence Ellen "Flo" Wilcoxon, 72, of New Palestine passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at her home.
Born February 12, 1936, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Raleigh and Erlene (Moore) Hinant. She married Jack Wilcoxon on February 3, 1957, and he survives.
Other survivors include her sons, David W. (wife, Chandy) Wilcoxon of Nineveh and Douglas W. (Jeannette Jones) Wilcoxon of Indianapolis; daughter, Devon W. (husband, Kim) Harris of Shelbyville; sister, Betty Jo (husband, Jack) Hocker of McComb, Michigan; sisters-in-law, Mary "Joan" Addison of Gwynneville and Carolyn "Jean" DeHart of Iverness, Florida; grandchildren, Corbin Benton Harris and Holly Ellen Harris and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Wilcoxon was a homemaker and had owned and operated The Tobacco Plantation in Indianapolis for five years.
She graduated from Tech High School in 1953 and from Approved Beauty College.
Mrs. Wilcoxon was a member of Gwynneville Christian Church.
Visitation will be at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St., Morristown, on Friday, October 10, 2008 from 3 to 8 pm.
Funeral services will be at the Gwynneville Christian Church, 7104 King St., Gwynneville, IN on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 11 am, with visitation one hour prior at the church, the Rev. Nick Keaton will be officiating.
Interment will be in Hanover Cemetery in Shelby County.
