Flossie M. Canada Cutter, 83, of Greenfield passed away Monday, December 7, 2009, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield.
Born September 22, 1926, in London, Kentucky, she was the daughter of William M. and Sallie (Rogers) Floyd. She married John Lawrence "Jack" Cutter on May 4, 1974, and he preceded her in death on February 18, 2004.
Survivors include her daughter, Wanda L. (husband, Bruce) Batton of Shelbyville; sisters, Beulah Jones of Morristown, Mildred Sisson of Greenfield and Ruby Van Meter of Tacoma, Washington; granddaughter Dana (husband, Chad) Hodgin; and great-grandchildren, Bailey and Beth.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dennis D. Canada; brothers, Birchel Floyd, Leighton Floyd, Delbert Floyd and Elmer Floyd; and sisters, Thelma Reynolds and Betty McKeeman.
Mrs. Cutter had been a health care worker at Maples Nursing Home in Fountaintown and later managed the bar and restaurant at the Greenfield Country Club and also at the Moose and Eagles lodges. She retired in the late 1970s.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Gary Jones and Morris Jones officiating.
Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
