Frances (Banks) Kuechler, 76, of Monroe, Georgia, formerly of Fairland, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at her residence.
She was born January 27, 1945, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Carl and Betty Jane (Clem) Banks Sr. On June 30, 1963, she married George R. Kuechler Jr. and he preceded her in death on June 2, 2007.
Frances is survived by her sons George R. Kuechler III and wife, Sheila, of Hebron, KY, Clayton Kuechler and wife, Cindy, of South Bend, IN, Joshua Kuechler and wife, Elizabeth, of Monroe, GA, and daughter Tina and Husband Chris Keel of Shelbyville, IN; brothers, Troy Banks, George Banks, Willie Banks, and Billy Banks; and sisters: Evelyn Smith, Minnie Grizzell, Alma Baker, and Debbie Kaster; grandchildren, Carol Kuechler, George R. Kuechler IV, Rodesha Wildrick, Clayton Kuechler Jr., Jesse Kuechler, Roy Walker, Kenneth Ehrenberg III, Ryker Kuechler, Joshua Kuechler Jr., Vanessa Kuechler; and 8 great-grandchildren.
In addition to George, Frances was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Betty Banks; brother Carl Banks Jr.; and sister Dovie Jackson.
Frances attended Laurel High School in Laurel, IN. She attended Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Athens, GA.
Frances formerly worked at PK USA in Shelbyville where she retired from in 2008. After a short break, she spent the next 5 plus years working at Meijer in Greenwood, IN where she enjoyed decorating cakes until ultimately retiring for good.
She loved caring for and creating cherished memories with her family and friends. She was an avid gardener with a passion for beautiful flowers, she loved working outside in the yard, enjoyed baking, and reading the Bible.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville, IN.
Funeral services will follow at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
Interment will be at Fairland Cemetery in Fairland immediately following the service.
