Francis “Wayne” Keller, 67, of Shelbyville passed away Monday, January 4, 2016 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield.
He was born May 7, 1948, in Hazard, Kentucky, the son of Edna Mae (Ward) Keller. He married Martha Marie (Goble) Logston on June 19, 1992, and she survives.
Wayne is also survived by his son, Steven Lee Keller and wife, Emily, of Shelbyville; daughter, Jessica Lynne Staker and husband, Aaron, of Shelbyville; stepson, Paul Wayne Logston and wife, Anne, of Indianapolis; stepdaughters, Lori Ann Sandefur and husband, Richard, of Arlington, and Debra Susan Logston; and grandchildren, Nickolas Staker, Alex Staker, Ellianna Keller and Aubrey Staker.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Wayne graduated in the Class of 1968 in Dayton, Ohio.
He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, where he was a Sunday school teacher.
Wayne drove for several years for Shelby Senior Services. He retired as a security guard at Indiana Grand Casino, in 2013.
He was formerly a member of the Optomist Club.
Wayne enjoyed watching the Indianapolis Colts. He loved the time he spent with this grandchildren.
He also leaves behind his dog, Shadow.
Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm, Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 1 pm, Thursday at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Zion Cemetery in Shelby County.
