Frank Wesley Bailey II

Frank Wesley Bailey II, 66, of Carmel, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. He was born January 28, 1948, in Shelbyville, the son of Frank Wesley and Ella Mae (Blanford) Bailey. He married Marilyn Wertz, on October 3, 1970, and she survives. Other survivors include his son, Duane Bailey and wife, Renessa, of Carmel; sister, Connie Williamson and husband, Bruce, of Freedom; granddaughters, Makayla Bailey and Megan Bailey; sister-in-law, Shirley Tucker and husband, Bob, of Shelbyville; brother-in-law, Robert Wertz and wife, Georgia, of Shelbyville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Greg Allen Bailey. Frank graduated from St. Paul High School in 1966. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in Vietnam. Frank was a member of the Waldron F&AM Masonic Lodge No. 217, American Legion Post No. 70 and the Forty and Eight Club in Shelbyville. He enjoyed fishing and watching television. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, October 27, 2014 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Rev. Bill Horner officiating. Interment will be at Miller Cemetery in Shelby County. Memorial contributions may be made to Maple Park Village, 776 N. Union St., Westfield, IN 46074.
