Gary D. Gosch, 61, of Shelbyville, died Monday, May 22, 2006, at his home. Born Oct. 28, 1944, in Shelbyville, he was the son of Lawrence A. and I. Aceline (Ritchison) Gosch. He married Cheryl L. Goble on July 4, 1964, and she survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Melody L. (husband, Richard) Parsons of Gray, Ga., and Deborah L. (husband, Greg) Hurd of Avon; one brother, Joseph Kent Gosch of Shelbyville; and two grandchildren, Erin Parsons and Jared Parsons. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Gosch had been employed with Cummins Engine for 38 years, where he had been a research and engineering manager of test operations. He retired in 2000. He graduated from Southwestern High School in 1962 and had attended Cummins Technician Program at Ivy Tech State College. Mr. Gosch was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 125 E. Broadway St. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Shelby County, 110 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN 46176; or St. Joseph Catholic Church Fund, 125 E. Broadway St., Shelbyville, IN 46176.
