Georgia R. Adams

Georgia R. Adams, 76, of Georgetown, Tennessee, formerly of Morristown, Indiana passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Tennova Hospital in Cleveland, Tennessee. She was born December 8, 1942, in Liberty, Kentucky, the daughter of Dave and Anna (Dean) Barlow. On February 13, 1966, she married Leonard Adams, and he preceded her in death in February of 2011. Georgia is survived by her daughter, Tonya Endris and husband, Fred, of Georgetown, Tennessee; brother, Eugene Barlow of Chicopee, Massachusetts; sisters, Dee Godwin and husband, James of Indianapolis, Jo Gabehart of Mount Washington, Kentucky, Elizabeth Garrett of Danville, Kentucky, Ova Roberts and husband, Bobby, of Columbia, Kentucky, Dollie Noel and husband, Steve, of Liberty, Kentucky; grandchildren, Josh Riddle, Justin Riddle and wife, Hayley, Brandon Adams and Nathan Adams; sisters-in-law, Jeannie Barlow of Indianapolis, and Mildred Barlow of Knoxville, Tennessee; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to Leonard, Georgia was preceded in death by her son, Keith Adams; and brothers, Marshall, Albert, Fletcher, Robert and John Barlow. Georgia graduated from high school in Liberty, Kentucky. She was a member of Heather Hills Baptist Church in Indianapolis. Georgia was a bank teller at PNC Bank in Greenfield, retiring in 2013. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fountaintown Cemetery in Fountaintown.
