Gerald David "Gary" Wells

Gerald David "Gary" Wells, 64, of Indianapolis, formerly of Fairland, passed away Monday, September 13, 2010 at Rosewalk Village in Indianapolis. Born December 3, 1945 in Beech Grove, Indiana, he was the son of Cleo Virgil and Dorothy-Lee (Miller) Wells. Survivors include his mother; daughter, Christine (husband, William) Childs of Indianapolis; sister, Barbara (husband, John) Stout of Fairland, grandchildren, Arianna Childs and Cassandra Childs, both of Indianapolis; nieces, Kellie Seymour and Johnna Stout; three great-nephews and one great-niece. He was preceded in death by his father. Mr. Wells was a National Guard career recruiter and retired from Chrysler Corp., where he was an oiler. He graduated from Triton Central High School in 1964. Mr. Wells was a member of the Moose Lodge, Scottish Rite, New Palestine Masonic Lodge, United Auto Workers and a lifetime member of Harley Owners Group. Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm, Thursday, September 16 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 1 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Fairland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen for the cure.
