Gingerann Fern Schilling, 82, of Boggstown passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Morristown Manor in Morristown.
She was born September 21, 1936, in Shelby County, the daughter of Albert Gray and Genevieve (Collins) Persinger.
Gingerann is survived by her daughter, Sharon Dras and husband, Mike, of Boggstown; son, Brian Schilling and wife, Connie Ann, of Boggstown; brother, Robert Persinger and wife, Joyce, of Boggstown; sister, Dianne Fagel of Greenfield; grandchildren, Joseph Clark and wife, Jamie, Lindsay Schilling and fiance’, Will Alfke, Kyle Schilling and wife, Lauren, and Kelsay Meyer and husband, Tyler; and great-grandchildren, Kailey Blevins, Hunter Clark, Durham Meyer, Adelina Meyer, Owen Schilling and Easton Clark.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Gingerann graduated in 1954 from Boggstown High School.
She was a member of the Boggstown Presbyterian Church. She was the church organist for 50 years and taught piano lessons for over 20 years.
Gingerann retired from L. S. Ayres in the retail sales department, with over 25 years of service.
She was also a member of the Eastern Star and Blue River Singers.
Gingerann was a leader of the Sugar Creek Lucky Leaf 4-H club for 20 years.
She enjoyed her flower gardens, reading and sewing.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewin Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at the funeral home, with Rev. Sandi Martin officiating.
Interment will be at Fairland Cemetery in Fairland.
