Helen J. Sutherlin

Helen J. Sutherlin, 82 of Kissimmee, Florida passed away Monday, October 8, 2007, at a local nursing home. She was bornin Hendricks County, Indiana on April 26, 1925 to Bryon Asher and Nina Robbin Asher. She was married to Robert H. "Bob" Sutherlin for 62 years. Other survivors include her daughter, Amelia A. (husband, David) Drake; sisters, Dr. Marilyn (husband, Dr. Don) Wagoner and Pat Cline; brother, Herschel (wife, Frances) Asher; grandsons, Aaron (wife, Alyssa) Drake and Jason (wife, Betty) Drake; and great-grandchildren, Brenna Drake and Asher Drake. Mrs. Sutherlin and her husband owned and operated the Manilla Grain Co. in Manilla for many years, where she was the bookkeeper. She had been active in the First Christian Church in Manilla. Mrs. Sutherlin loved to sew and enjoyed dancing. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the Chape of Osceola Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Chaplain Greg Limoni officiating. Entombment will be in Osceola Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Research Foundation. Local arrangements are being handled by Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
