Henry Tilson Fischer, 90, of Waldron passed away Monday, November 5, 2007 at Major Hospital.
Born December 31, 1916, in Shelby County, he was the son of Frederick and Marie (Higgins) Fischer. He married Berniece E. Weintraut on May 3, 1947, and she preceded him in death on September 8, 1977.
Survivors include his daughters, Alice K. Brandt of Shelbyville an Doris A. (husband, Ron) Everson of Winona Lake; son, William F. (wife, Connie) Fischer of Waldron; sister, Rita A. Boring of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Anthony Scott Brandt and Eric Vaughn Brandt, both of Shelbyville, Heather M. Everson-Tuttle and Andrea N. Fischer Strehle, both of Indianapolis, and Ryan M. Fischer of Waldron; and great-granddaughter, Olivia K. Tuttle of Indianapolis.
He also was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Rosemary Lindley.
Mr. Fischer had been a farmer in the Waldron area, retiring in 1994.
He graduated from Waldron High School in 1934 and attended Purdue University for two years, studying agriculture.
Mr. Fischer was a member of Knights of Columbus, Eagles Aerie Lodge No. 766 and St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, with the rosary recited at 4:30 p.m., at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 4218 E. Michigan Road, with the Rev. Chris Craig officiating.
Interment will be in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery in Shelby County.
