Hildegard C. Bullard, 67, of Morristown, passed away Monday, November 16, 2015 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis.
She was born January 24, 1948, in Munich, Germany, the daughter of Ludyig and Elisabeth (Warras) Steinhuber. On November 6, 1969, she married her husband of 46 years, Chester Bullard, and he survives.
Hildegard is also survived by her son, Chester “Chet” Bullard, Jr. and wife, Roschelle, of Indianapolis; sisters, Elisabeth Tremmel and husband, George, and Gabriele Horst Victor and husband, Hort, both of Munich; grandchildren, Ciara, Chett, Cameron and Carson; and a host of wonderful loving friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Hildegard graduated from a Catholic School in Munich, and became a home economics teacher. After coming to the United States, she graduated from school of banking in New Jersey. Her first job was at Old National.
She had attended Calvary Temple in Lawrence, Fountaintown United Methodist Church in Fountaintown, and was currently a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Rushville.
Hildegard worked in banking and mortgages at Stonegate Mortgage in Fishers.
She enjoyed painting, reading and crocheting. She also liked to watch science fiction movies and play solitaire.
Hildegard was also preceded in death by her dog, K.G.
A gathering of friends will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown.
The Celebration of Hildegard’s Life will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Paul Davis officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Research in her memory.
