Ivone "Annette" Cox

Ivone "Annette" Cox, 74 of Anderson, formerly of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2008 at Community Hospital in Anderson, IN. Born April 15, 1933, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Velma (Fately) Phipps. She married Charles Cox on September 14, 1950, and he preceded her in death on February 25, 1997. Other survivors include her sons,Dennis Cox of Florida, Brian (wife, Patti) Cox of Carthage and Lawrence (wife, Becki) Cox of Anderson; sister, Carla Kay Priddy of Waldron; and several granchildren. She also was preceed indeath by her parents; son, Scott Cox; and an infant brother. Mrs. Cox lived in Shelbyville most of her life, and resided in Anderson for the past five years to be close to her son. She had been employed at Admiral Corporation from 1967 to 1972. Mrs. Cox was a member of Waldron Baptist Church and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 70. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 19, 2008 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lewis Creek Baptist Cemetery in Shelby County.
