Jack A. Wilcox, 64, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at his residence.
He was born August 30, 1949, in Seymour, the son of Paul H. and Juanita M. (Carr) Wilcox. On January 19, 1972, he married his wife of 42 years, Paula M. Staples, and she survives.
Other survivors include his parents of Scottsburg; son, Jason A. Wilcox and wife, Beth, of Vernon Hills, Illinois; daughter, Kimberly R. Leffers and husband, Benjamin, of Indianapolis; grandson, Matthew Wilcox; and a granddaughter, Evelyn Leffers.
Jack graduated from Morristown High School in 1968, and attended an electronics trade school in Louisville, Kentucky.
He was a member of Fairview Methodist Church.
Jack was a veteran of the US Air Force.
He was a very talented craftsman and designer. Jack enjoyed inventing tools and woodworking. He was also an artist.
Jack was formerly a franchise consultant for Budget Rent-a-car and J.D. Byrider.
A gathering of friends will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, August 1, 2014 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
A Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Johnny Lee Sanders officiating.
Inurnment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Campbellsburg, Washington County, Indiana.
