Jack D. Clouse, 66, of Shelbyville, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, at Major Hospital.
Born Jan. 22, 1940, in Cookville, Tenn., he was the son of the late A.J. and Anna Lee (Randolph) Clouse. He married Alice R. Edwards on Jan. 17, 1961, and she survives.
Other survivors include six sons, Robert "Robby" Clouse, Daren (wife, Wanda) Clouse, Richard (wife, Loretta) Clouse, Edward (wife, Tammy) Clouse and Shannon (wife, Emily) Clouse, all of Shelbyville, and Ronald (wife, Debra) Clouse, of Arlington; two daughters, Christina Van Schoyck and Jennifer Hampton, both of Shelbyville; four brothers, David Clouse of DeRidder, La., Harold Clouse of DeQuincy, La., Max Clouse of Speedway and Donald "Rick" Clouse of Shelbyville; three sisters, Theresa Hitchcock of Merryville, Tenn., Margaret Vierling of Fort Pierce, Fla., and Audrey Pollitt of Rome, Ga.; 28 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, James Carl Clouse, Billy Clouse and Luber Kenneth Clouse; and two sisters, Elizabeth Ann Clouse and Anna Pearl Clouse.
Mr. Clouse was a brick mason in the Shelbyville and surrounding areas most of his life, retiring in 1992.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Wilbur Seymour officiating.
Burial will be in Manilla Cemetery, Manilla, with military rites conducted by local veterans organizations.
