Jack Randall Wheeler, 74, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Major Hospital.
He was born March 17, 1941, in Pennington Gap, Virginia, the son of William R. and Jeanette J. (Harber) Wheeler.
Jack is survived by his son, Jack Jr. of Fenton, Michigan; daughters, Dawn D. Horton of Texas, and Penny A. Jones and husband, Bob, of Flushing, Michigan; brothers, Billy Joe Wheeler and wife, Berniece, of Galatin, Tennessee, and Danny Wheeler of Shelbyville; sister, Barbara Anna Thompson and husband, Terrell, of Mesa, Arizona; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jack graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1959, went to General Motors Institute and served an apprenticeship at A.C. Spark Plug, obtaining his associates degree.
He was a tool and die maker, last working for Plastic Moldings Company, retiring in 2012.
Jack was an avid motorcycle enthusiast.
He was loved by many.
No public services will be conducted.
Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
