Jacquelyn June “Jackie” Branson, 81, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Franciscan St. Francis Health in Indianapolis. She was born June 26, 1934, in Johnson County, the daughter of George Raymond and Mildred Lucille (Garshwiler) Sedam. She married Orville Sullivan Branson on December 9, 1954, and he preceded her in death on May 14, 2009. Jackie is survived by her children, Gregory Wayne Branson and wife, Bobbi, of Greenfield, Lisa Kay McCormick and husband, Rusty, of Indianapolis, and Brian Robert Branson and wife, Dawn, of Shelbyville; brother, Lee Robert Sedam and wife, Deanna, of Trafalgar; and grandchildren, Eric Branson and wife, Hannah, Zachary McCormick, Trevor McCormick, Katherine Branson and Nicholas Branson. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Jackie graduated from Union Township High School in 1952. She was a member of Trafalgar Christian Church. Jackie enjoyed working crossword puzzles, watching the Indiana Pacers and Indianapolis Colts and keeping in touch with her friends. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and the time she spent with them. Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm, Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 1 pm, Thursday at the funeral home, with Rev. Harvey Weaver officiating. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley’s Children Foundation, Children’s Cancer Research, 30 S. Meridian St., Suite 200, Indianapolis, IN 46204-3509.
